What you should do to optimize you site for google search and rank
- Provide “worthed to browse” contents
- Check your code. Give attention to your title and description tag
- Make sure your targeted search keyword exists in your content with enough density
- Your content should be outlined. Use standard formating such as h1, h2, ul etc. Most important content should be the first. Maximize css layouting rather than table layouting
- Update your site regularly and always provide fresh content
- Install Google toolbar
- Last but not least: to be honest and fair with Google, Google will love you
What is not necessary to optimize you site for google search and rank
- Reciprocal link, to many effort but less result. You should consider to get the in bound link rather than reciprocal link
- Spend much time to optimize your keyword meta tag. Forget this keyword, Google is likely ignore this meta tag.
What you shouldn’t do to optimize you site for google search and rank
- Hiding your keyword. Google hate this. At worst you will get Zero Page Rank
